  • titanium dioxide

Titanium dioxide is an FDA approved physical sunscreen ingredient. It remains on the skin surface, scatters UV light, and is often used in conjunction with other sunscreen chemicals to boost SPF values, thus enhancing overall product attractiveness. The finer the particle size of titanium dioxide, the less obtrusive and whitish the product will appear. Many authorities believe that titanium dioxide in an ideal UVA/UVB protection component given its chemical, cosmetic, and physical characteristics. Titanium dioxide also serves as a white pigment and opacifier in skin care products and cosmetics.

It contains proanthocyanidins which are flavonoids credited with good health and longevity, and is reported to strengthen capillaries, rebuild collagen and help defend against UV rays. Possessing an antioxidant capacity derived from the facilitation of vitamin C recycling, vitamin E regeneration, and antioxidant enzyme activation, this extract is optimized by fermentation and is reported to have more antioxidant potential than green tea extract.

  • pearl powder

Pearl powder is a multi-functional aesthetic ingredient that boasts an incomparable historical record spanning millennia. The cosmeceutical benefits of pearl powder had, until recently, been obscured by the fact that pearl powder has pleasing mica-like surface aesthetic properties. A collaborative 2009 scientific publication from three Taiwanese universities, however, has confirmed pearl powder's substantial antioxidant, hydration, and brightening properties.

  • arbutin

FAQs

  • ExfoliPowder’s summer fruit fragrance is delightfully fresh. What are the component fragrance essences?

ExfoliPowder's fragrance is a Seoul original and something unique and new in America. The component fragrance essences are peach, berry fruits, rose, lily, and orange blossom.

  • How much Daily ExfoliPowder should I use? How do I control flow of powder from the container?

A first in the exfoliant cleanser world, Amarté's ExfoliPowder® actually meters a proper amount of product with each tip of the open container. No longer is it necessary to carefully tip the container to get enough cleanser without spillage or waste. ExfoliPowder's metered dose container is another user-friendly Amarte skin care innovation.

  • This product doesn’t feel gritty like other exfoliant powders. Does the smoothness of this product indicate that it won’t work as well as others?

Actually, Daily ExfoliPowder® typically works as well as or better than other exfoliant cleansers. One thing ExfoliPowder® doesn't do is irritate and inflame the skin from excessive abrasive effects. This is in keeping with the Korean philosophy of respecting skin integrity through calm and gentle treatment. Cleansing with ExfoliPowder® involves the experience of smooth and creamy lather combined with a great light scent. The interesting part, however, is what happens after the skin is rinsed and dried. The skin feels smooth, supple and definitely 'polished'. It also looks great and doesn’t become inflamed from the experience.

  • What makes ExfoliPowder so different from other exfoliant cleansers? Why is it called a Wonder Wash?

ExfoliPowder® is an amazing product. It is a Wonder Wash® that, while powdered, doesn't really feel like a physical exfoliator during the cleansing experience. This Wonder Wash® lathers up into a rich smooth foam that cleanses thoroughly and gently. Often times it's only after cleansing that people realize how smooth, supple and polished the product has left them.
